I have to admit I like it.

A big lotto win and I would probably get one.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

If this guy is right and the next Ranger is going to be linked to the Bronco I wonder if any of the development was done at Broadmeadows. I know there are differences with the US Ranger but I believe that quite a bit of the US car had some work done here.

All speculative, of course, but it could mean we might get the Bronco sooner than we otherwise might.

Big questions about Bronco and Grenadier: Have Ford and Ineos out LandRovered Land Rover? Sure looks like from where I sit.

The Bronco is built on a version of the Ranger's T6 platform.
    FoA 'owns' the T6 platform.
So current Ranger, current Everest, current US model Ranger and the chassis of the Bronco were all designed, engineered, developed and tested here in Oz.

I remember seeing the face/grill ages ago but this is the first time I've seen it in its entirety. I like it. But yes LHD only unfortunately.

Unlike the Grenadier which Ineos are saying is aimed at the more utilitarian market, the Bronco is aimed squarely at the same sort of leisure/adventure market (though possibly not long distance touring) that LR say the new Deefer is aimed at. Well, in the US anyway.
Yet the Bronco is, like the Grenadier, available in pov spec, hose out, no frills versions.

Guess it shows (if any further proof were needed) where LR is heading.

Thx, DD. It's pretty much what I thought, but it's nice to have confirmation. I've become a little out of touch.

So, Bronco could easily come here. How good is that? Body on frame, modular construction, proper TC, locked at both ends, and that crawl gear in the 7 speed manual. 35s from the factory. What's not to like? OK, IFS wouldn't be my first choice, but LR ONLY have IFS ( and IRS ) now, so it's really only Jeep and Ineos if you want a modern car with solids. If Jeep can be called modern of course. I don't count the 7X Cruisers as part of this segment. WAY too pricey. Which of course brings us to that: What will they cost? Less than a Defender, I'll wager.

I can see the waiting lists now. Thing will be a hit.

You can even get drain plugs in the floor! LHD only, for now. Ford said Mustang would be LHD only as well before launch. Things are everywhere here now. Ford would see the appeal here, surely.

However, I don't see Ford going after the Deefer with this. It's aimed squarely at Jeep, but I suspect that the Deefer will be collateral damage in the US. Ford have also put a crimp in Ineos' plans as well, at least for the wagon version. If Ford did a ute......

I'm still leaning towards the Grenadier for some reason, but I can really not say why. The Bronco 'looks' brilliant. Pricing will be paramount, and Ford are excellent at that. I still want to see the new Deefer in the metal, but my interest wanes daily, when we can see what they COULD have done. Seen one SUV, seen 'em all.

Well, it looks like Jeep haven't taken the release of the Bronco very well.

    Cheers

Less than half what the Defender costs. Thing will be a hit for sure. Unless that price is for the Sport, of course. Sport is really just an Everest or Escape. Even so....
