Heya Folks,

I'm having no luck finding the right fuse for Matilda - it's 2.5cm long cylinder type - 35 Amp.

Anyone got a clue where I might find some?

Standard glass fuse, I thought. Should be available at any parts place, eg Supercrap.

Yeah - but they aren't - not 25 mm long. They have shorter and longer ones.

I would try KB classic parts out at maleny or any of the swap meets, cheers Dennis

These blokes have lots of glass fuses but they arent 25 mm, 22 or 27 seem to be closest

These are not easy to find - the last ones I got came from Tandy a few years ago, so perhaps an electronics place might be the go. Otherwise an older long established auto electrician or a specialist in English cars.

The holder should be able to take a standard 3AG type at 35Amps, measuring 1 1/8 inches. In metric sizing, that would be the 27mm. version.
That is what I have done with my Ser 2.

If you want to get more exact, salvage the old fuse carcase, carefully unsolder the wire from a new one and transfer it to the shorter tube and ends. This would require steady hands, some fine pointed pliers and a 40w iron or bigger - up to say 80w.

Hi All
I solved the fuse for the fuse box
by wining some bare copper wire around the glass and soldering the end to the end cap
fits perfect
save a lot of worry
with the cap on the rivet counters do not know the different
cheers
