Humble radiator cap.

I recently posted my experience in relation to a professional radiator rod/flush alsp a post with a leaking fuel cooler.

After nipping up all the clamps I found that I was losing coolant from the coolant reservoir.

Initial thoughts were pressurising and head gasket and $$$$$$$

I remember reading another post about the humble radiator cap and where replacement of reservoir (=radiator )cap and the problems was solved.

So $28 later and the problems seems to have been solved.

Now I’m not suggesting that the radiator/reservoir cap is the solution to all coolant loss. However if in doubt it’s certainly worth replacing the cap as a first step and see if that stops the coolant loss?
