Hi Doug, you need the ignition on (position 2) with engine not running to reduce any noise interference.
The Nanocom often has a communication problem when switching between ECUs. After reading/clearing engine faults disconnect the OBD lead from the Nanocom, plug it back in, then go to ABS SLABS and read/clear its faults.

Hi All
Thanks Gary I will try this this afternoon i will keep playing with it so i get use to it when connected to the engine ecu it showed no faults. This would have to be the best forum around so much information and so many people willing to help out. Once i get the hang of hit it will be available for anyone to use on the Mid North Coast NSW.

Hi Doug.
Re the SLABS ECU ... I get best success reading/clearing by having the key at pos.1, run the Nanocom thru to the point of actually reading/clearing/writing, and just before you push the yes button, turn the key to pos.2, wait a few sec's, then hit yes.

Hi All
Thanks to everyone for answering my query I tried it this afternoon and it read the slabs unit no problems at all. I have now tested the ECU and the Slabs ABS ECU and i have not got any recorded faults in either ECU. At least i am confident when we go on our trip to Lake Eyre next week i should be able to clear any faults that arise. Regards
Doug

I tried reading the SLABS on a D2a today.
My Nanocom wouldnt have a bar of it,tried a few different methods as above.Works fine on my D2.

Sometimes persistance is a virtue ...
