I just swapped out my Brake Vacuum Pump as the old one was kaka...

and well I found this on the ground under the Defender...

https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2010/08/1378.jpg

It is a rubber plug, 14mm High, flange is 16mm dia, and plug if 10mm dia, stamped MOSSPLUG 6

Does anyone know where it came from?

I did not pull anything like this off when pulling out the air filter to do the vacuum pump swap. I just undid bottom hose and back hose clamps on air filter and clamp on hose to vacuum pump.

I'm Stumped where it came from ???

Cheers

Well to me it looks like a caliper bleeding nipple cover. When new all LRs have them on all the nipples.

i think that it is one of those 4 rubber plugs that go in to the block that sit on the ridge just above where the top of where the vacuum pump sits .I think they put them there to plug moulding holes in the block.
