Hi,

Hoping someone could help with a small wiring issue. I have a 2009 Defender and need the specifications for the fuel sender (Ohms for full and empty tank conditions). I have a subsciption to the GTR but they have optioned to leave this bit out:mad:. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Bender

:) Can I be nosey and ask why and what the issue is?

I guess you have a 08 Defender :(

In short, I had to replace my instrument cluster as the tacho and temp gauge operate via CAN bus and won't work with the few mod's I have done since I bought the car. See Link,

YouTube- ‪2009 Land Rover Defender LS2 V8 Conversion.‬‎

I case you are wondering why, I have a 1000 reasons why Ford should have dropped the Defender from its range before they could afford more than the $10 and 20 minutes they spent downgrading to the Puma:mad:

:Rolling::clap2:

So it's not a LRA-denying-warranty-cover issue then....

Here I was thinking that you'd filled the tank using a Hi flow pump causing the float to remain submerged hence a low reading on the guage

Make our day tell us more about the mods and don't spare the detail.

As for the ohms its no wonder there is some resistance . Most of the detail contained in the GTR is non existant.

Yeh, warranty! Anyway, LR have agreed to re-spray the roof (cracked paint). Beyond that, well I imagine a siren sounds somewhere at LRA when the dealer mentions my rego' number.

Detail,

307kw 6.0l LS2
Flappy Paddle - 4L65e (auto with manual control option)(Commodore SV6 wheel)
80 series t-case
Remote Start
PWR radiator (SPAL fan)
P38 power steer box (coming)
VE Commodore engine ancillaries
Auto Meter Instruments (not by choice)
Dash-Daq
Automated transfer case (H/L & 4WD) Pnematic
GU Axles (very soon)
Lockers
LR Fuel Tank (145l)
Land Cruiser prop shafts (modified)
HID's
Other random 4x4 stuff
Half finished rock sliders
OME suspension (standard height)

That's the most of it.

Cheer's, Tristan.

Makes the story of the cancellation of a Puma warrantty due to aftermarket shocks causing persistant rear diff failures pail into insignificance.

Hi,

I guess I'm going to have to measure these values the old fashion way. I'll post them once I work it out, incase someone wants them in the future.

Thanks, Tristan
