I hear snatch straps should be rated to the vehicle. Can anyone recommend what break strain snatch strap i’ll need for my disco 1?
Thanks

You shouldn't be buying a snatch strap based on its Breaking Strain you should be basing your purchase on the Safe Working Load (SWL) or Working Load Limit (WLL which is based on a Safety Factor (SF) for your protection. After 1 use the strap deteriorates until it becomes unservicable, if you use your strap at it's Guaranteed Breaking Strain (GBS) it will certainly break. I don't know what the SF is for a Snatch Strap as they are ILLEGAL in the rigging industry, so for safety sake I would use a SF of 4 or 5 to be on the safe side or find another method of Safe retrieval, Regards Frank.

Don't take this as fact, but I was told the breaking strain of a snatch strap should be 2 to 3 times the weight of your 4WD.
Working on that theroy, you should choose 8000kg up.
OK I found this
