Toyota FJ Cruiser (2011) Preview - Cars (http://www.cnet.com.au/toyota-fj-cruiser-2011-339307346.htm)

could this be another way to get back into the '4x4' world?? (as oppose to the 200 series luxury car:angel:)

similar to the way it was originally brought in for the snowy mountains scheme

Looks like the only spare part you'd need to carry is super glue because the whole thing is made from plastic

Joins the rank of uglies alongside Dodge Nitros and PT Cruisers

Someone from the US embassy in Canberra has been driving one (same colour as the pic) around Canberra for a few years - so not exactly a new car.

If you do a search on the Yank 4wd sites there is plenty of threads about serious sub frame cracking. They are nothing but a full on ******* vehicle. Pat

They are ugly. They have been in the US for a few years know. They are based on the Prado, but are smaller. ARB had one on display at Wandin a couple of years ago.

I was checking it out at the motor show. Toyota had it on a turn table so you couldnt climb all through it which was disapointing, I wanted to get a closer look. I dont mind the look of it, im interested to see what it will be priced at.

Some pics from the motor show.
