Hi guys

The rubber (attached) above my bumper is loose and comes out every time I drive (on both sides).

Has anyone seen the proper mounting of this strip, ie, do I silicone it to the bumper underneath it, or to the panels above it? I dont want to glue it in and then find I have complications in the future if I take my bumper off.

Thanks!

From memory it just sits there - no glue or anything, needs to be tucked between the body panel and bumper itself!

It should be sticky on one side and be glued to the body. I had to use some double-sided tape to restick mine.

They often come loose though so a dab of silicon will hold it in place. If you have the bar off at anytime, it would pay to remove it altogether & resecure it as you'll find it loose in several spots.

You are right. I had to transfer it from my rear bumper to the Kaymar rear step bar whne I fitted that.
