I've had these Series 2b forward control rims for about twenty five years now. Originally on my Series 3, then as an "off road" set for the Defender.

The rubber on the standard rims for the 80" are getting low on tread, so I thought I'd see how this set would look.
I'm sure the purists here would frown on it, but I think they look great!:D
It's like being a teenager again with wider wheels & bigger tyres.:burnrubber:

I was expecting the steering to be heavier, but for some reason it's the same if not better!

Go figure. :eek2:

The 569203 rims are negative offset but would be the correct width for the tyres.
You don't want to try my SIIa f/c rims with 9.00 16 tyres do you? Then you can talk about heavy steering.

But how kewl would that be? The front tyres would almost touch the rear ones on the 80".

I think the 9.00s might be a bit tight under the guards.:(
The 255/85s fill them out though!:eek2:

Nah, no good at all, you'd better throw it out. Bring it to the meeting and I'll remove it from your sight so you don't need to suffer any more. ;)
