Just when you think you've grown up!

I've had these Series 2b forward control rims for about twenty five years now. Originally on my Series 3, then as an "off road" set for the Defender.

The rubber on the standard rims for the 80" are getting low on tread, so I thought I'd see how this set would look.
I'm sure the purists here would frown on it, but I think they look great!
It's like being a teenager again with wider wheels & bigger tyres.

I was expecting the steering to be heavier, but for some reason it's the same if not better!

    Go figure.

The tyres are 235/85/16 - standard size for a Defender (& my D2).
