All the floor rubber on my 300Tdi crew cab is cracking and falling apart. Does anyone have any good suggestions regarding its replacement? Exmoor Trim have some stuff that looks pretty good but when I priced it through an Australian supplier, I found it's very expensive. Maybe it's cheaper direct from the UK. Any other ideas?

My idea was to make my own more insulated version by buying say ~5 mm rubber mat, glue high density foam or neoprene to it, and cut to shape. I'm yet to find a good supplier of said materials on Brisbane northside though (apart from Clark Rubber - ch-ching $$$$).

..And just to clarify, I refer not so much to the floor mats, but the bits that go over the transmission tunnel, on the firewall, and up into the driver's side footwell.

Ah! ;) I'm planning basically the same for those areas, although I'll use vinyl or thinner rubber to glue the insulation to. I've bought a roll of self adhesive hook and loop (Velcro) tape to hold it in place. This way it can be removed for cleaning or corrosion inspection.
The transmission tunnel piece is a bit more difficult to do yourself because it's moulded. I'm lucky in that mine isn't too bad.
All this said, I'm a sucker for punishment. It would be far easier to buy a kit, but like you say Wally they are expensive here, and I'm concerned if I buy online from overseas it won't be up to my expectations.
Does anyone have an aftermarket insulation kit they can comment on (preferably not carpet - it's a Land Rover!)?

Me three (looking to do the same thing).
By the way where DO you get the adhesive velcro. I need some for something entirely different....

I dare not ask. Your reputation precedes you Vlad ....
I got it from an eBay store (http://stores.ebay.com.au/Bandusta-Australia?_trksid=p4340.l2563) which ended up being out our way (Bunya or Everton Hills - something like that).

That'd be the ultimate replacement but I just can't justify the $ ATM :(
