Anyone had a coolant leak btw the oil cooler housing and the engine block (TD5) it's a metal crush type gasket. When I say leak I mean a weep once a week. No coolant in oil,, no oil in coolant, straight out leak btw two housings???

Your post doesn't make sense.

Big O, No I haven't. Needed to replace the heat exchanger matrix itself, but no leak in the gasket.
It was in pretty poor shape, though. Wouldn't have lasted another year I think.
And, yes, removing and replacing the assembly is a PITA!
Cheers, Dave.

I WILL TAKE THAT AS A NO.
..Its a TD5, it has an engine oil cooler that is cooled by coolant from the radiator..The cooler bolts to the side off engine block. It has a metal gasket between the two of them. I have coolant leaking from between the oil cooler and the engine block. Anyone else experience this ??.

It has happened to me. Not difficult to fix only very labour intensive. Good opportunity to do a number of other things since turbo will have to come off and exhaust manifold possibly too.

When installing the new gaskets use high temp anaerobic gasket sealant. Also keep in mind you'll be dealing with alloy castings so torque by the book!

I have had mine of and resealed but only to check for corrosion as I have seen eone of these corroded through. Not a hard job but time consuming to get to.
