I saw an photo in one of the landy mags from the uk it had an extended cover on teh transfer case to allow more oil and therefore cooler.

They are on flea bay Land Rover Transfer Case sump .increased oil capacity (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190628444883'ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649)

I like the sound of them but would like to hear if anyone has any personal experience?

they dont make all that much difference to the boxes temp but they do allow extra oil which provides a larger reserve to deal with leaks If you have the Drop down PTO on the back that provides a front and rear output the UJ for the front drive will foul on it.

I have one. They are nice and thick, well made. I dont know how much it has dropped temps, but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy :)

What he said ^^^^

except i know mine made no differance to the temps.... because its still on the bench!

In theory it should lower temps, so thats good enough for me!

For extra drain? No need.

I have tapped the back cover and placed a fuel/oil pump on my t case that is controlled with a switch in the cab. Switch in every so often and it squirts oil to the input gear (I don't have the cross drilled one) And viola better t case life span.
