hi all.
your thoughts please, turning key over starter is engaging but car does not fire, after 3-4th try it comes to life. not happening everytime though.

so what could be causing it?.

battery seems ok, car has been offroad for 3 weeks prior but i put on charge overnight to give it a boost.
appreciate any advice.
cheers

Doesn't sound like a battery issue if the engine is turning over. County sounds like he is on the right track. Frustrating when these problems occur intermittantly only. Good Luck

Could be a failed fuel pump that is producing very low pressure or oil in the ecu harness upsetting the crankshaft position sensor.

Air in the fuel line. Either a filter or line problem.

thanks guys, i am leading towards air in the line, will do a purge process soon to check that theory.

car has been in the repairers for the past three weeks and they may have moved the filter/fuel piping as part of the fix which maybe caused the issue.
