I'll admit to being a bit of a fiddler.. Actually there has never been a car I've owned that I haven't modified in some way.

I have the Faultmate which enables me to adjust settings & stuff with my laptop. Dangerous really. Regarding suspension heights I created 3 different profiles other than standard.. +20mm, +10mm & -10. The only thing is when I reload the standard calibration setting I swear it leans to the passenger side slightly. My driveway does have a slight slope but the garage is near enough level & I still notice it. I do have my 2nd battery and 40L engle on the passenger side but I thought it self levelled anyway.

Is there a particular procedure that has to be done to calibrate the suspension? I did take a screen shot of the original values but that was after I had a play with the system & I thought I should save my settings incase I mess it up.

Cheers Rob

First step in calibrating the suspension is to get the beast level.

These are measured from the center of the wheel hub to the bottom of the wheel arch moulding. Its a bit fiddly and a adjustable gauge of some sort is better than a tape measure.

The standard measurement for the D3 at normal height is:

Front 465 mm
Rear 482 mm
These are for veihcle unloaded but whith full tank of fuel.

Then adjust to what you want.

Ivan

PS D4 should be the same I guess

Thank you Ivan, that was exactly what I was after.. Now, to find level ground...

Does anyone happen to know if the Faultmate Extreme MSV-2 has the capacity to lock the suspension into tight tolerance mode?

Yes it can. I can't give more details atm as my MVS2 has been sent back for repairs.

Thanks Graeme. In the meantime I'll look into it further & maybe jump on the faultmate forum.

Using Vehicle Explorer, its in the suspension ecu section under "other".
