Hi all - my D2 is about to get a 4.6 with a mild cam and it will come fitted (from TRS) with the manifold and injectors for LPG and the computer, lumes and converter. I already have all the other stuff on the vehicle (mixer type) - so tanks, solenoids etc to the engine bay.

They recommended and upper cylinder lube kit - I have never run one. They reckon the valve seats and guides are fine (ie standard form) and they dont suffer VS regression.

How does the lube kit work, and generally is there anything I need to be aware of in setting this all up?

There are two kinds of Flashlube kits, one type dribbles a bit of oil into the manifold under vacuum, causing puddles of oil to form in the plenum, and then there's the electronic type which doses according to the duty cycle of a gas injector. Google "Flashlube" and you should find it.

Thanks very much mate - I take it both though go into the manifold, but one doses appropriately and the other too much.

Connecting the Fluid Supply to the Engine
For maximum performance, the inlet port for the Flashlube fluid should be between the Butterfly valve and the inlet manifold. Installing it 50mm to 100mm away from the Butterfly should provide good mixing with the air/fuel stream. Drill a 3.5mm hole in this location (use grease on the drill to pick up the swarf) and insert the self taping connector. Use a suitable thread sealant to eliminate the possibility of a vacuum leak.
Attach the fluid supply hose from the Flashlube reservoir to the manifold fitting and fit the supplied clamp.
