Got the call today asking to confirm my address and the like so that LR could send me a welcome pack.

Can anyone tell me what's in it?

Tried a search to no avail.

Cheers

The LR welcome pack ...
A box of tissues so you can wipe away a tear when the first bird craps on you new car.
A stout pair of boots so you can stamp you foot really hard when the EPB fails to release.
A pillow - for your wife/partner/significant other to put under you head after you faint at the first "stealers" service bill.
An extra "thick skin" to help ward off all the unpleasent/stupid/ignorant comments made by Toyota/Nissan/Jeep drivers.
An "upgrade of credit limit" from the bank of your choice so you can start adding all those little "goodies" - bull bar - winch - lights - etc etc ...$$$$
Naaah just joking - you'll love it regardless of what the stealer gives you in a "welcome pack" ....
cheers :D

The welcome pack should contain a 1 x Phillips head screwdriver, 1 x blade screwdriver, 1 x tube of silastic, 1 x roll of electrical tape and a card with phone number to ring roadside assist

Can't tell you what's in it, therefore it won't be a surprise! :-)
But it is nice. Have used mine many times;-)

Thanks all.
Whilst I don't know if the answers were helpful, I did get a chuckle.
Wait I shall.

Far out - our sales rep couldn't even remember our name! Not even a bunch of flowers!
You must have either played real nice or real hard!

Do we really need one? It's just a bunch of promo gear that ends up on the kitchen bench, shifted to the dining room table, shifted to the office or study.. LR send out a full colour magazine every few months anyway. A Land Rover golf umbrella would have been neat or a big beach towel. HSV sent me a box of stuff after I bought my Maloo earlier this year. I only kept the hat & USB stick, the rest hit the bin.

I think that the welcome pack may vary from dealer to dealer. The one I got from Barbagallo Motors was pretty nice and doesn't sound anything like the one that robocop describes.

I never said I received a LR pack. I received a HSV welcome pack. I found HSV customer service to be personal & flawless.
Three different Land Rovers (110 TD5/FL2/D4 SE), three different dealers in two states I didn't receive a welcome pack. But I'm happy with the half yearly magazine.

I got a call asking the same thing.
Received a little colour brochure expounding the virtues of LR, and a few places worth visiting.....
Thats all

I was very well treated, My wife got a big bunch of flowers, a bottle of Moe , and a gift basket with chocs and the like. We then got a choice of two gifts from LR Australia which included a mens overnight toilet bag , which is awesome , great quality and perfect for me as i travel every week, and a towel and picnic set for the RRS.

Guess its who you buy off that counts......I used LR on the Gold Coast , I bought my first two off Austral in Bris .....never again .......
Now i drive past Austral to get to the Gold Coast to get my service and extras fitted .....lol if only Austral had someone at the top who cared ...

This is a LR Australia thing not a dealer gift.
The dealer was good, I got a fairly good deal and was therefore happy with a tank of fuel.
Bought a VW in 2009 that came with a "active" fuel light however that's another story.

I got the call too, so I am waiting to receive my pack:)Mind you, I got a great deal and a full tank as well so anything extra is a bonus.

Interestingly, I got my Disco from the Sunshine Coast as the Gold Coast couldn't come anywhere near the same deal.

So it's arrived. Usual little book with interesting places to go and a huge coffee table book titled journey of discovery - 8000 miles, 50 days. Nice read.

Hi All,
Sorry to revive a really old thread, but I recalled reading this thread with interest as I had never received the 'welcome pack'.
I purchased my D4 in Feb 2012 so figured I had missed out on what was a new thing.
However, I got a call today from them to double check an address so that they could send me one - almost a year to the day after purchase!
So, if you did not get one and feel you should have, and want one - maybe give LRA a call.
Pat
