That article is sort-of correct...

EAS height is measured from the centre of the wheel cap to the underside of the guard.

So, if Standard height is measured at 470mm:

Low/Highway height is 25mm lower than Standard, so 445mm
Access height is 65mm lower than Standard, so 405mm
High height is 40mm above Standard, so 510mm

This is for the front corners. Add another 10mm for the rear corners.

Make a note of the potentiometer readings in EAS Unlock before you make any changes.

Cheers, Paul.

Thanks Paul
The EAS king

Bit late on the changes but was not to hefty as We just chose one of the heights and made them all the same . When I get it all working we will work through the heights.

Now the wiring on the valve block is correct but when I tell it to turn the pump on and this is from empty it leaves the front pass side on the bump stops and just keeps pumping um the drivers rear side. The other 2 go up a bit. About half the back one. Matt

If trying to level the RR from an empty tank situation it is a good idea to;
Start the engine and leave a door open and let the RR sit for a good ten minute. This will fill the air receiver to set point, shut the door and the EAS should find its mark pretty quickly.

Do a search on EAS Calibration ---there's a lot of info. Also read through http://www.aulro.com/afvb/p38a-range-rover/143748-eas-recalibration-lr-procedure.html (Post #5 for DIY calibration blocks) ...

cheers

Matt, if you use EAS Unlock can you change the height of each corner individually using the up/down arrows on the tab with pic of the car? This will confirm that the correct solenoids are working.

My issue is that the pump does not engage at all without turning it on manually. my issue is when running on manual or easunlock manual it just fills up the back 2 bags with nothing on the front.

I think I have 3 issues here.

1.EAS pressure switch, compressor not engaging full stop.
2. EAS ECU playing up.
3. EAS driver unit on the valve block

does anyone have one or all of the above that I can borrow for diagnostic elimination?

also open to other suggestions?

Hi Matt,
I had to replace my pressure switch as well although it did create a fault code that came up in the EAS unlock software. When you hook it up to the unlock suite have you any error codes coming up?
I am also told that the back inflates first and then the front in any event to about 60-70 % and then goes to inflate the back again and then front to adjust to final height. If you are only running the compressor for a short while in your tests you may only be in the first part of the cycle and have not allowed enough time for the front solenoids to be activated.

Hi Alan.

We waited for about 10 minutes with the back at full extension.

Also I can not get the system to Deflate using EASunlock. any clues there?

cheers

Matt

Did you go through the depressurise process in EASunlock and depressurise both springs and system? From memory you have to tick a box as well before it does anything ( some statement about a warning) needs to be ticked and then wait 45seconds for each depressurise.
I found that whole process too slow and now just pull the lines out of the valve block to empty it all. I recall after following the depressurise process in EAS unlock twice , I still had pressure in the air lines anyway when I pulled the lines out of the valveblock. Just dont stick your face down there when you are releasing the lines and have never had any concern over the airpressure released thru the line as long as you are reasonably sensible about it.
