I'd go the re-sleeve, once its done you'll never have to hone or sleeve the cylinder again. The seal kits that go inside are the same ones as in the SII/SIIa and usually when the cylinder comes back they have already done the kit as well.

Yes you can use the later CB cylinder but have to drill an extra hole.

We are working on getting a 'girling 625' master cylinder in my '51, much cheaper and readily available. Wait a couple of days and we will put up pics:)

Mrs hh:angel:The master cylinders in the 86, 88, 107 and 109 are longer than the ones in the 80, even though the bore is the same Int Dia (on all the models with 10" brakes)

I am surprised at that price for a resleeve - has been a couple of years since I got a master (different type) resleeved - it was just on $100.

The later series 2 CB type master cylinder fits between the tank and the outrigger, i have this on my 86". You can either drill your outrigger to suit or go to Radfords website and ring and order the conversion kit which includes the master cylinder and the adapter plate from 3 bolt to 2 bolt.
