Hey all,

Not having any luck accessing my EAS to clear a fault. I'm using a Nanocom Evolution and my old faithful RSW Unlock Suite and cable. The fact that both are failing to connect tells me that there's an issue with communication to the OBD port.

Fix attempts include;

Swapping EAS computers with a spare
Replacing under seat small black box (relay?)
Replacing relay in fuse box
Swearing in the EAS's general direction
Googling for similar issues

No success :(

The Nanocom works for all features other than the EAS. When hitting this page it locks up and i have to reset it.

Any suggestions on next steps would be awesome!

Thanks,

Dave

Too bad you're not nearby. I have a Testbook T4.

Check for corrosion in the OBD connector.

I had similar issues, was corrosion on OBD2 connector as suggested previously.

Agree that it is most likely a dodgy pin or connector on the OBDII port. My Nanocom also does this occasionally, so I jiggle the back of the pins on the OBDII port until it works. Must take it out and clean properly one day.

On the OBDII, these pins correspond to the DB9:
Pin 1 = RTS
Pin 5 = signal ground
Pin 11 = Rx
Pin 12 = Tx
