Hi , i have just noticed oil weeping down around the rear right disk brake shroud on my 1996 tdi 130 with the salsibury rear axle. Presumably this is from the hub seal ? Can somebody please help me with the part number for the seal ? Should the bearings be changed at the same time the seal is changed ? I
have had a look online for parts but can't find seals / bearings specifically described for the salsibury axle.

G'day James,
The seal part number is RTC3511. The bearings should be ok but have a look at them when you have the hub off

And that seal sits below the edge of the hub by 4 or 5 mil not flush you can use your drive flange to install the seal

hi jamesB if you are happy that it is your stub axel seal it would be a good idear to check your stub axel as well to see if it is groved because ,if it is it won't work for long.regards jimr1.
