Apparently some TD5 Deefers use 1330 uni's on the front shaft, some a 1300 at the t/case and 1330 at the diff end, (or is it the other way around ?) Tdi's use HD 1300 size uni's at all four spots.
Bear in mind that the 1300 uni's that most books list aren't really up to the job, Land Rover/GKN HD uni's use a trunnion that has the same OD and needle roller length as a 1310 Spicer uni.
There's a few threads on here that list the difference, the part numbers and photo's of the physical differences.

Other way around... although some I think may have both. My current front shaft has the larger joints at both ends

And it should be pointed out that the shafts are interchangeable between different models, and unless you have owned it from new, you have no way of knowing whether either shaft is the same as the original - for example, my 1986 110 has a TD5 rear shaft.

And my 92 Tdi has 1300 Uni's and smaller shafts. But my 93 Tdi had 1310 uni's all round and larger shafts.
So I think it is easier to say, that anything is possible :wasntme:
