Gday...

The attached photo, which I hope loads properly, shows one of my D3 keys which is showing its age and is split on the top of each 'button' - obviously I drive it too much :D

Is there a replacement case? If so, where may I obtain one? Then, if I obtain one, is it difficult to remove the existing one? I am assuming from looking at it, I would just 'split' the case around the edges, remove and replace with the new one.

Cheers - John

I just did a search on ebay and they pop up all over the place.
Search on google for "ebay lr3 keycase".
It worked for me.

Looks like eBay is the one, like this part here:
LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 3 TDV6 NEW KEY FOB REMOTE CASE 3 BUTTON | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LAND-ROVER-DISCOVERY-3-TDV6-NEW-KEY-FOB-REMOTE-CASE-3-BUTTON-/181029066872?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item2a262c5878&_uhb=1#ht_789wt_689)

Below is a link to how to split the case so you can get the circuit board out to transfer to the new case.

DISCO3.CO.UK - View topic - both key fobs not working - help (http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic39609.html?highlight=%2Bkey+%2Bfob)

When you have all opened up, you might want to look carefully at where the battery is soldered to the circuit board. Apparently the soldering of the battery tabs may not be the best and is subject to cracking. That appears to be why some of the key fobs eventually do not seem to charge or function - the battery is OK however the power is not getting in and out of the battery.
