D4 Second battery cover

If anyone is concerned about their 2nd battery getting to hot under the bonnet then this may help!

I have found using the battery cover from a 2003 TS Astra helps reduce the heat from the engine. I was surpised at how well it works and the fit is great! I think it looks better too.

yes it is soft! and no couldn't get any around here so I knocked off the wifes lol the Disco needs more than the Astra.

Does the battery (yellow top optima d34 ) need air flow to keep it cool ? One would think this cover could actually raise the temp. If that was the case.

Any thoughts here on this theory. There must some engineers on this forum who can help.
Otherwise all batteries would come with foam insulating sleeves or aftermarket ones.
