G'day,

Can anyone shed some light on the manufacturer of this dual battery system, it came with an ex bash service car I bought and I'm interested in using for my 130.
Its a simple system with a 3 wire hook up, maybe too simple for the electronics associated with the TD5.

It appears to be a relay change over for the batteries.I would check that one set of contact are closed when switching at all times otherwise the alternator wont be excited and the rest of the electronics will have a problem

Looking at the orange wires, marked as main and auxiliary, I'd guess it is an old Piranha system. The use of standard auto type relays inside also points to Piranha ... quite unsophisticated system.

Going on both the cables and the potting, I’d say it was an early piranha too.

Thanks for the replies guys, everything said makes sense....a cheap VSR with a pretty low amp rating.

Thanks,
Jas
