Does anybody know if the td5 keyfobs and the Puma keyfobs are compatible?
I am after a spare for my 02 defender and there are a few around off Pumas.
Cheers,
Paul.

I'm not sure if Puma ones fit.
But I do know that TD5 Defenders had two different frequencies, the earlier ones were 315Mhz, and the later ones 433Mhz. They changed it for interference with radio towers or something.
I think the change over was about 2002 I think.
I have an 02 Defender which is 315Mhz, yet the vin number indicates it should be the 433Mhz. Hence the wrong one was ordered :wasntme:
So check which frequency yours is, and make sure you get one the same.

Australian Puma are 433MHz but otherwise unit is all the same old Lucas 10AS system. The 10AS can recognise up to 4 fobs. If you can get to it (behind instruments on firewall) the unit should have the frequency on the label.

Thanks for that, mine is a 433Mhz and since they both use the 10as I think that answers my Q.
Cheers,
Paul.
