Don't know off hand, but you could take a look at the following link:
eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/280868809082'ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649)

Hi Inc.
I kno where you're coming from with crawling under it only once. I have sent off an inquiry to the seller as to the thread type and diameter (they cant' shoot you for asking:p) If they answer I'll post it here. Allen screws if available would be a better option for the speedo cable fixings.

3/16" by the look of the ones I have here - fairly coarse thread - looks to be 30 or 32 tpi on the gauge but it's a bit dark here - can't really tell which it is

Thanks for that - I have 15 of them here in a bag. I'll write that on the bag.

Thanks for that Incisor.
I'll write that down in my service manual and the next time I lose those rotten little screws I'll be able to get new ones from the local bolt supply!
The seller replied to my message but had no idea of the diameter and thread

You will find 2BA and 3/16 BSF are interchangable.

You will find 2BA and 3/16 BSF are interchangable.
Although they will screw together they are not strictly interchangeable, because they are different thread forms.
2B.A. 47 1/2 degree thread angle; teeth per inch(TPI) 31.3
3/16 B.S.F. 55deg thread angle; TPI 32
Using the two together, will ultimately result in a poor hold and the threads becoming damaged,
Cheers Charlie
