I've got an Ironman 9500lb winch. I want to spin the gearbox around 90deg so that the engage/disengage leaver is on the top allowing me to just reach through the hole in the top of the ARB Sahara bullbar.

I took the small bolts off the top cover, I originally thought they would be long all the way through the body and then I could just spin it, but not so. Do I keep pulling all the gears out now?

Yep, beat me to it. I did mine without issue but did follow the instuctions. While it's out it would be a good time to give all the gears a good grease.
