View Full Version : D3 Fuse Box where to buy?

hello Together,

Just picked my car up from Davis Performance and the wallet is 2.6k lighter but therfore the car does not sound like a metal factory anymore.

Had the lower control arms, sway bars, breaks and rotors replaced And Bruce found the issue I have intermittently with my air conditioning where it stops working. It seems like I need a new fuse box does anyone know whether I can order that from the UK?

I believe the fuse box needs to be coded to the car but a quick search on Google did not yield any results and companies like Brit parts do not seem to stock them.

Thanks a lot

Steve

Steve, is it the one in the engine bay or the passenger foot well?

If it is the one inside the vehicle behind the glove box (Called the CJB or Central Junction Box) then it is a VIN order only & the CCF files will need to be written to it & then sent from the UK. It is basically the brains behind the vehicle & a major component.

hello Sean,

thanks for the picture Bruce, suggestion was to replace the whole box he said he could start pulling it apart and look for loose connections and see whether he can find it but there would be no guarantees and I may still have to purchase the box.

Any idea what the box including the matching to the car cost in the UK and where I can order it?

Thanks again guys for the help.

hey Steve, from what I can see LR only supply the fusebox with the wiring loom already wired together - not sure if this is right though. There are different part numbers depending on the configuration of your car too.

The part I found which may(not) match your car is LR014709 with a description of:
WIRE, INCLUDES FUSE BOX, LION DIESEL 2.7 V6 (140KW), 6 SPEED AUTO ZF 6HP26 STEPTRONIC, RHD, WITH FOUR CORNER AIR SUSPENSION, WITH HALOGEN HEADLAMP, WITH BI - XENON HEADLAMPS

Not cheap either:
Famous Four - Land Rover Part LR014709 - WIRING (http://www.famousfour.co.uk/lrparts/lr_page.php?partID=455243)

I would say, if you wanted to be sure of the part, have him supply you the part number so you can be sure of what to look for.

Thanks a lot I think it is then cheaper and safer to purchase from Bruce for $790. If that UK box would not work it would be a hassle to get it return. I really appreciate your help though

If you go on the UK forum ( DISCO3.CO.UK - Index (http://www.disco3.co.uk) ) you will find a member called 'the large one' Aka NIck from Yoevil LR. You will probably find the price from him much better. No VAT and exchange rate help.
Very helpful guy for genuine parts.
