Can anyone tell me what the box under the passenger seat does? Vehicle is an '03 TD6. Thanks, Jim

If it's the one with a cover, it's the BCU (Body Control Unit)

Jim, Tilt sensor is also there, and if you have the Tyre Pressure Monitoring kit fitted its ECU is below the Body Control Unit also.

Basically it's the central brain for the electronic systems in the car, the engine has it's own unit ! The amount of functions it performs varies from model to model, but usally it's in line with the options fitted.
