It is interesting and I guess amusing to go back in time and see the safety conscious parents and their "innovations" :D

This one should have the first price, looks like that the father was kin in introducing the little one into motor sport.

Lol - my parents still marvel at the new fangled range of current children's seats.

Apparently they took me home in a basket sitting on the back seat of a Hillman Hunter, and that was completely legal at the time! (or so they say)

Ooh! I must be old, I can remember those seats and they were common in the likes of FJ/FE Holdens and the English family cars of the 50's the one in the pic is in USA as that is a 50's Ford Sunliner (Customline Convertible)the model we never received :( along with the 2Dr Hardtop(Victoria),Coupe,Station Wagon, all we got was the 4dr pillared sedan and it used the 55 dash right through to 58.
