Im going on a trip mid September for a few weeks down in vic high country & taking the No.5 with me, which brings me to my question as to what the bearings & cones are for it so I can take some spares with me just in case. I have only just bought it & the hubs are setup great so I do not want to pull it down to get numbers or what not if I don't have to. Much appreciated in advance to whoever can help me.

They are an older Imperial size, and numbered as a separate Cup and Cone. The Cup is 354A, while the Cone is 359S. While an old design, they are readily available as new production, but expect to pay a premium price. The seal is also an Imperial size (2.375 ID, 3.376in OD, 0.5W), Part No 50178.

However, the bearing is the same as the inner bearing on a late Series IIA or Series 3 and has the Rover part No RTC3416. 4 of these through one of the many Rover parts suppliers will probably be cheaper than sourcing the bearings through a "brand" bearing supplier.

Example: TIMKEN (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Timken-359S-Rear-Outer-Bearing-/360701507300) and ROVER (http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/series/series-2/parts/axles-and-transmission/rtc3416-hub-bearing-inner-up-to-1980-inc-.html)

If you prefer a gasket between the hub and flange over silicon, the gasket is also the same as a Series hub/flange.

Cheers mate, Ill order some series sets as spares. Silicone has been used on it previous to buying it & does the job well so ill think ill just carry a small tube of what seems to be RTV grey sealant.

Thanks again,
Jeff
