My disco 93 3.5 v8 now has 145ish liters fillable of gas, and I have just ordered 265/75/r16 set (2 inch dobinson lift kit is on the rover) im guessing I will have to get in and cut around the arches back abit will be able to see what has to go when the tyres are on, tyres will be bfg km2's.

pic of gas and stuff.

Question. Are those dickie seats still usable? If not might be an idea to put a raised floor to cover the tank and get your cargo area back. Although slightly smaller. One thing i can advise about the tyres and it is the most obvious one. Check the pressures every now and then, don't ignore them like I have the last few months. Noticed the other day the left rear was looking a little down, but thought it was due to the load in the back. Checked and it was down to 19PSI. No puntures just s strange one. Always seems to be that side since day 1 almost 15 yrs ago.
Cheers

Planning to go off road?
If so, my tip is to ditch the LR towbar & stick on a Hayman Reese/ARB type. That thing is a plough :(.

With 265/75's you will need flares if you plan on getting it flexing offroad.

Not that strange, really. Did you know tyres are porous?
I didn't until a very well known tyre importer/manufacturer/wholesaler/retailer spoke "tyres" at a club meeting.

The lpg tanks seem to be the biggest plough of the lot so a different towbar won't make a whole lot of difference!

I had the same twin tank setup in my old rangie and didnt find that they hindered the clearance at all, i think there was about only about 50mm difference from original tank to lpg tanks.

Yeah I have no use for the tow bar, its going to be coming fully off, the tanks sit fairly higher then the diff and the tow bar so should not be a problem, the tires will just ensure that bit of extra clearance and traction and bigger foot print to cope with the extra weight, thanks for the tips. I have already removed the seats in the back :-D you do surprisingly get more room then you think, currently looking for something to go over the tanks. Current tires are 205/r16, does anyone know the speedo difference? and can the speedo be adjusted?
Also is there any good place to get the flares from at a good price?

Heres a decent price for a set of flares
LRD155 | Plastic Wheel Arch Kit - 5dr with cut out for side mouldings (http://www.paddockspares.com/lrd155-plastic-wheel-arch-kit-5dr-with-cut-out-for-side-mouldings.html?___SID=U)

and if you dont have side mouldings
LRD156 | Plastic Wheel Arch Kit - 5dr no cut out (http://www.paddockspares.com/lrd156-plastic-wheel-arch-kit-5dr-no-cut-out.html?___SID=U)

These are the factory style flares they dont require guard cutting so wont give you any more room for larger tyres.

there on, had to wind out the steering stops....because my tyres were hitting the trailing arms, the tire shop was to lazy to do it even tho I asked them, well was an easy thing to do myself, going to camel cut it next, was wondering why is it called a camel cut?
