can someone please tell me the fan belt size on the perentie isuzu- the numbers on the old shredded one are unreadable- i ordered a new one the other day which was a 15A1205 but it's way too big and a 15A1185 which others have quoted will be too big too. I'm assuming the perentie's have a different size belt to the county isuzu?

no power stearing = smaller belt. i think you may have to take the bits in and do a guestamate

What is the alternator setup?
Crank, Water pump/fan, alternator make up the belt AFAIK.

Genuine Isuzu part number for the Perentie is 1136713400 or BX45 is another number. Should be the same belt as the civvy version unless something has been changed

Got it sorted- picked up a bando RPF5460(15A1185) which is actually 17x1210mm- strange how they label it 15A when it's 17mm.

My Perentie belt on vehicle as purchased is a Bando RPF 5470. With the numbers 17X1170Li. The belt is nearly stuffed and I have run out of tension movement on the alternator arm. I did get a 17A1160 but was too small. Paul.

I am running a B46 as a temporary measure. Paul.

Would the size difference be due to AC in a County, not sure as my aircon is currently in bits in the shed so I can't check

I just fitted a Dayco 15A1220C. Tight to get over pulleys but tensioned up well. Paul.

Just rang Izuzu, He told me that that number is correct, but that Izuzu Australia has never stocked it and they would have to get if from Japan.
He's getting back to me with a price.
should be amusing.

I bought a B44. In the next few days I'll be fitting it so can confirm 100% whether it's the correct size, but I'm pretty confident it is. B=17mm wide and 44=44" long.
This is what I bought:
V Belt VEE Belt B Section B24 B650 B75 B1950 17mm X 11mm | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151074836407?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=450188667204&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)
I noticed the inches verses mm measurements do not correspond, so I messaged the seller and they were very helpful and informed me that the differences are in the way imperial and metric belts are measured.
The imperial measurement is the inside circumference of the belt.
The metric measurement is the PCD ( (Pitch Circumferential diameter) of the belt which is measured at the the reinforcement cords of the belt. (These are not always visible).
So if this belt is the correct fit, you can buy any 17mm B section belt in imperial length 44" or metric length 1160mm.
Regardless of size, there is nothing special about the belt though. It is not a Landy or Isuzu belt. It's a generic V belt. I'm guessing the Isuzu price for it will be very entertaining!

Let me know if it fits, mines not too bad at the moment, but it is reaching the end of its life.
The engine oil sump plug costs 18.95 (8941075570 for anyone interested) If the belt comes in under $100 I'll be amazed.

Yup. still chasing it up.
I thought it would be interesting to see what a genuine one would cost.

All the genuine stuff I have purchased has all been respectively priced. But they were all from stock too, not Japan.

well the kid I spoke to sounded like he was about 12. Maybe he's still learning. Didn't hear back from them today, maybe tomorrow.
Genuine stuff I've bought has been reasonable too. I was imagining that shipping from Japan might add a premium!

Just for the record - the County aircon runs off another pair of belts.
Similar to the set up for the 28v alternator on the FFR :)

I went to repco last week and asked for 15A1185 they only had the size smaller and the size larger (75 and 95) and I think could order in an 1180.
I tried the small and definitely to small but the 15A1195 fitted perfectly. Cost was around $43

So, just heard back from Isuzu. 6-8 weeks from Japan and $165 for part # 1136713440 (the one in the book)
However, he also told me that 1136714641 should work and is only $24.44 + GST.
picking one of them up this afternoon.

It's official! Isuzu part # 1136714641 fits!
It's labelled as an A/C compressor belt, but it is the correct one.
