Hi there

I have new a single axle camper trailer which weighs fully loaded probably around 1.5 tonne. It has large LT AT tyres on it. I would have thought for on road towing it should be around 42PSI. The tyres are rated for maximum 51 psi.

When I checked the tyre pressure today which were for the manufacturer they went off my pressure gauge at higher than 60 psi?? I didn't think that sounded like a good idea so I dropped them to 42

What pressures would you run on a camper on road?

The 60 psi would be what was needed to seat them on the rims,,;)

My camper is 800 kg up to 1000 fully loaded. I run 22-26.

get some chalk and draw a line across the tread.

go for a short drive on a smooth road / carpark ext , 100m will or so

check the line ,
if its faded in the center tyre is over inflated
if its faded on the outside tyre is over inflated
if its even across the pressure is fine and would be the pressure to use on sealed roads for the load as tested. accordingly lower pressures on dirt
method works for car as well.
