Greetings all,
Ok for the simpletons like myself, whats the difference between a suspension achieved lift and a body lift.

A suspension lift lifts the whole shassis and body.

A body lift puts spacers under the body, lifting the body. but not the chassis. So you get better departure and approach angles, but no better underbody clearance.

Ahhhh shank you masta,
Groovy so if I just wanted to whack a decent set of rubber under the disco a spring lift would do the job. Does anyone know if 275's will fit under the standard disco or would there be cutting involved.
cheers
Mick

Gday Mick,
If its like a rangie, im guessing your going to need to do both a spring and body lift. I did a 2" spring lift on my 92 rangie to fit 245*75*16 rubber under it, I noticed that when the wheels are articulating particularly at the back although it clears the guard arch its not by that much. 275's would probably rub.

Hi Mick,

Which Disco do you have?

If you have a Disco I, the answer to your question can be found at www.discoweb.org

and if you have a Disco II, the answer is on the www.disco2.com website.

Cheers,

Lawrance

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I shall pop in here a lot more often and chat with other like-minded Land Rover fans. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif
