Would you pay off your mortgage sooner if you could?

G,day All. Todays update is for those that have a mortgage. What's the one major thing we want to do when we have a mortgage? Correct, we want to pay it off. If we had a magic wand, what would we want to do? Correct...pay it off as quickly as we could. So how can you pay it off quickly? Lotto? Inheritance? Surplus funds after all other expenses paid off? Is there another way? Is there a benefit to paying it off quickly? Are you of the mindset of paying your monthly mortgage till finally some 20-30 years down the track it is finally paid off?

For most people, the family home is the major asset and the mortgage the major debt. If you could (using your magic wand) pay off your mortgage quicker and increase your wealth, would you do it?
