Errr, Agent 86, that is one job I would send it to the dealer for, or be prepared for some serious hardship. You will need to access the rear of the drivers side (RHS) cylinder head, after removing the exhaust crossover pipe etc from underneath.

The most horrific position imaginable, thank goodness they don't give much trouble!!!:wasntme:

Check these instructions out, Land Rover Workshop Manuals > LR3/Disco 3 > 206-07 Power Brake Actuation > Brake Vacuum Pump 2.7L Diesel (http://workshop-manuals.com/landrover/lr3/206-07_power_brake_actuation/brake_vacuum_pump_2.7l_diesel/) and what they don't tell you is what angle/ position these illustrations are from; basically it would be nearly easier to remove the body, and while you are there replace that darn fuel pump belt!!!

 Looks like that it is another job to do in the bush with minimum of tools!
Thanks to the designers that done a good job for an off road vehicle :D

Probably easier to lift the body off the chassis - like this.

I read your thread Ron, very interesting, are you saying it only took an hour for someone experienced to raise the body??

Even if it were 2-3 hours, for someone with a hoist this would be almost a no-brainer for these fiddly jobs!
