If you are re-sealing then an EP90 or similar (EP75W90) should be used.

If you can track down a Series III manual (.pdf from the internet or from AULRO) details on how to do the job are given. You may need a selection of shims to set up the pre-load in the swivel bearings.

Here is a later vehicle being done Land Rover Swivel replacement: part 1 removal - YouTube

Here is a Series being done http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f66/how-series-3-swivel-replacement-guide-239382.html

Best of luck.

If you've got pitted balls, use the 'one shot' oily grease stuff as EP90 will leak out even with new seals.
If your balls are shiny and smooth, use EP90 as it will lubricate the Raiko bushing at the top of the swivel more effectively.

Its not a hard job, but you'll want lots of rags/towels and a bucket with degreaser, etc. You'll also need a spring balance to set the preload properly.

If you're going to the effort of replacing all the seals, you might as well replace the bearings at the same time.

Good luck.
