Hey guys,

Have an Indus silver 90 coming in August/Sept.

Was looking at the Black Pack which I think is available for MY15 orders:

https://www.landrover.com/au/en/lr/about-land-rover/news-overview/defender-black-pack/

Does anyone know if it's possible to get hold of a set of the santorini black grille/headlight surrounds from that pack? (picture below)

Are those sort of spare parts able to be ordered out of the UK?

Thanks

Ask your dealer to have a set sprayed Santorini Black and switched over during pre delivery.
All dealers have a paint company they use... if done by dealer will have warranty :D

Not really an answer but... those surrounds look very similar to the ones on the Limited Editions like ours, they look great but do severely limit your choice of bull-bars – almost none fit without serious mods. Just something to be aware of.

Not quite.. The ones above are a std surround with black paint :)
The LE versions are different with the aux light lower and more towards vehicle centerline causing the issue you mention.

Good thought. But I think Tombie is right in that its just a standard headlight surround/grille that's painted in santorini - so should have the same slim profile.

Yeah that could work - thanks mate.

Do you happen to know if the metal grille surround (not the plastic grille itself) is removable? It appears that it is also painted black.

Congratulations!!!
The metal grille surround you refer to is also plastic. You have to take that off in order to take the grille off. It is much easier if you can get the whole thing painted. Taking the grille out of that surround was a bit of a pain for me when i got mine painted.

Thanks mate that's good to know - sounds fairly easy all in all (assuming the dealer is on the same page!). If someone's had their set painted in black aftermarket/at the dealer a picture would be great.

I would still consider purchasing an entire original santorini black set so that I have the originals should I ever want to swap them back. If anyone knows how to get hold of one let me know.

Thanks

Just ask your dealer if you can buy original parts.

Black plastic, they all used to be black until the puma was released with the grey.
The 130s are still released with black I'm sure because they don't feel the need to stylise it as its more of a commercial truck.
Hence why the 130 also doesn't get released with the subwoofer like all the other models. It's not even an option!! Which is most annoying

Warning: Blatant plug to follow ;)
These bull bars will fit the limited edition without modification :D:D

I am pretty hopeless but removed mine myself. Think I used a plastic primer and them painted them black myself. Cost about $30 and they look perfect. Done 3 yrs ago. I was thinking if going the kbx upgrade but am really glad I didn't.
Have a crack yourself mate.

Yeah not a bad idea. I'm thinking of getting hold of an entire new set of headlight surrounds and a grill and getting it sprayed. Would like to have the originals in new condition if I want to switch them back.
New set of plastic headlights surrounds and grill off ebay looks like circa $150. The grill surround body panel though might need to buy off a wrecker for another $150ish. So $300 pre spray... Sounds crazy but I'm keen.
If someone has a good tip on where else to pick those parts up shout out!

Mate seriously call the dealer and ask for a price!!
eBay is often more expensive then buying parts from the dealer.
But no one ever rings the dealer because they assume they will just be expensive, so ring and ask it can't hurt and then you won't have to spray them.
If you can find the part number to provide them with it will make the call even quicker
