I can appreciate that for what it is and the period it represents in American History but it is not beautiful.

There was a red E-Type coupe in the car park at the local bowlo yesterday which was just drop dead gorgeous.
I also like some of the earlier Ferraris.

That is a very nice 60/61 Simca Vedette, last use of the Ford Sidevalve V8 24 stud head from memory. would have liked one of them, drove an Aronde for a bit.
Alloy heads. My boss at Moree had one. We took the head nuts or bolts off but still couldn't get the heads off. So we put them back on but loosely and he drove it for a few days until the heads blew loose! :D

While we are on the subject of Ferraris look at this one :) It's probably the rarest one in existence.
I wonder, what should be the price of the car pictured above? This stunning vehicle is one of only four produced 250 GT Speciale bodied by Pininfarina in 1956 and has come to light after many years of storage. It was first registered in Portugal and used only occasionally. Due to the political revolution which the country suffered in the 1970s the car was hidden in a safe place and hasn´t been brought out till very recent. This history has been told by the present owner of the car, who is also the first owner since the fifties... Though all this sounds almost unreal, fact is that the car appears in lovely original condition. The engine backfired all the time and all the car has all over an incredible odour due to the old original (?!) gasoline still in the tank. No matter the first appearance upon closer inspection the fabulous Ferrari has many paint imperfections, small dents and minor broken parts, including the Ferrari badge on the boot. Even seeing all this details, the story given is hardly believable.
It will be interesting to see the auction results :)

Jensen Interceptor II
Vignale designed, Chrysler 383 / 727 box / Dana 44, hand built in West Bromwich.
Earlier ones, the FF (Ferguson Formula) had all wheel drive and an ABS function years before Audi had the Quattro.
Later Interceptor III had the 440, and the SP had a six pack induction (500/350/500cfm)
Anyway, they're generally not for fence sitters - either love 'em or hate 'em.
