Hi All,

I picked-up a Repco Compressor today that I have been told is in good running order.

I was wondering though - if anybody could provide some specs on it?

I have never used or owned a compressor before, and I was wondering what size the tank was, what the HP is, and what the CFM is?

I am new to this and am I correct in saying that you need a certain CFM if you wish to use a spray gun attachment?

Here are some pictures - hopefully the answers to my questions are in the pictures. I did try and Google the model number but I came up blank - hence the questions...

Going by the barcode sticker, it's a 16 CFM.
The motor is rated at 13.5A so it's one of the bigger single phase compressors around.

IMO it's a good size for home spray painting.

That is a generic compressor with various brands on it - I have had the same for over 20 years and it is still running great - have painted three cars with it. They were $1100 at what is now Gasweld in about 1993.

Make sure you regularly drain the tank.

That's a top compressor mate. It should have a 15 amp plug on it, but I bet it hasn't - or has the earth pin ground down. Doesn't really matter - you can run a spray gun no dramas off that.:)

This twin cylinder parallel compressor is still used today on several decent brands.

That should last you many years.

Good idea to mount the water trap higher than the compressor, looks the goods, Regards Frank.

Is that a two stage higher pressure compressor? There's an extra housing off the back of the head?

ie: It'll pump up high enough to do truck tires with
