Hi everyone,
Just a quick hello, as a new member, I've been reading some of your posts and appreciate all of the good oil thanks.
I jumped in the deep end recently and bought my first REAL 4 wheel drive, a hard top Perentie, as opposed to my previous pretend 4 wheel drive X-trail. It's a lot of fun and a bit of a learning curve for me, with a couple of mysteries, like why is it so hard to get out of second gear and why does the REVERSE/INDICATOR fuse blow every time I select reverse gear (but only with the engine running)?? Never mind, I'll get to the bottom of it ... maybe with your help?
A few short notes about me .. I like a beer, I am passionate about my Perentie and old aircraft and have had an AP6 Valiant Ute for the past 17 years. I also own a 62 Dodge 575 truck that I intend to rebuild as a long term project. As a young man I spent a couple of years flying around the Kimberlies as a Bush Pilot and also a few months working in the Hammersly's as a water truck driver, but my current job tends to keep me away from the bush and I miss it. Hence the Perentie.
I'll be heading off through the Simpson in about 2 weeks with a few good friends and am looking forward to the adventure.
Cheers for now
