Hi all i was just wondering if anyone has got or used a set of the terrafirma 11'' mega sport shocks and knows the extended and collapsed lengths.
Also does anyone have 14'' bilstein 7100 in their defender 110 with pictures of your flex :)

Not used them myself but I have downloaded the terrafirma catalogue and according to that extended length is 810mm and collapsed is 530mm
code is TF137 front TF138 rear

Pretty sure grimace has the billies in his rangie, pictures in the superior engineering thread at the end.

Those closed lengths are pretty ordinary, you would need rather extended bump stops, and raised shock mounts

Your right about the closed lengths
I'm fitting up some 12 inch 7100 bilsteins to my defender. Measured up for fabricating extended rear shock risers today.
B7100s Closed Length 445mm + pin/eye converter 42mm = 487mm
Also have on now 10.5" koni which are 435mm eye to eye.
I'm not sure about 14" and are concerned they may break in time, starting to get some big arcs and so secondary forces in those guards! So went for the 12", retained T&B. Have superflex arms up front so should be reasonably balanced

Im running short body 12" 7100's all round one of of my 90's.
we also fitted a set on a 110 and a set of 14" short bodies on grimaces rangie.
The 14's are much more difficult to fit. From memory they have closer to 2.5" more travel than the 12's and the closed lengths are even longer again
we converted to pins to the lowers and made custom turrets and rear mounts... I will see if I can find a couple of pics
Front turrets were +35mm. Rear mounts are +50mm (for the 12" shocks)

Springs are retained now but this gives you an idea of travel

Thanks for the response im going to order a set of 7100s this week:D
Can i ask what valving ratio did you get for your 90 and does it handle well is it soft in the corners?

I originally specced 360/80 and it was woefully inadequate imo.
I re-valved to 400/100 and upped the oil weight at the same time.
I cant recall what I think it is exactly now but it is over 500/130 ish
It is now very very well controlled

Just to clarify this is for the rear shock, Pete's front are still 360/80.
His rears are basically solid when trying to move by hand:) and they barely rebound on their own.
The change to the vehicle off road (specially when climbing) has been very noticeable even just viewing the vehicle. It's bloody fantastic!
I have 360/80 all round and while I am happy with the valving I think I could increase the rear for even better results.
For 14" short bodys in the rangie I had to raise the front mounts 80mm and the rears are approx +75mm, but I also have much lower (longer) bumps stops (+2" front +3" rear).
I think 12" front and rear is sufficient, but if you have the means to get the 14" up front and can use that travel (be it with holey bushes or SF arms) it would be even better again.
