Heralded as one of the best, if not the best, hurdler of all time. And that is by her peers, not the media. The best ever, from Australia, that is for sure. Sally Pearson put the troubles of the last week behind her . Michelle " the wriggling" Jennnecke, and Golden haired Shannon McCann, both qualified for the final as well.

6.50am - SALLY PEARSON DOMINATES 100M HURDLES
Yikes. Sally Pearson has returned to form in a big way, roaring through her heat in the 100m hurdles and winning by a huge margin, almost breaking the Commonwealth Games record in the process. She finished with a time of 12.69 seconds.
“It’s so good. Oh I’ve been so stressed and worried about it, so nervous,” Pearson said.
“Every single week has been a hard slog getting back to here,” she said, referring to an injury she suffered eight weeks ago.
Pearson briefly addressed her spat with controversial coach Eric Hollingsworth, saying it had been a huge distraction. She also justified her decision to compete in London before the Games, instead of attending a team camp.
“It’s been a huge distraction for me in the past week,” she said. “I’m in a really good headspace now, I want to keep going.
“You saw how I ran tonight, and that showed how important preparation is for an athlete.”
In the following heat, fellow Aussie Shannon McCann came second to book a place in tomorrow morning’s final alongside Pearson and Jenneke.
