Thanks to all who attended yesterdays day trip to mt mee and a special thanks to those who had a long drive, we had a really great day!
We started out in the little town of Dayboro where we met near the not so quiet swimming pool car park..an hour later with some taking the scenic detour via D'agulair..we were on our way.
We entered the National Park via Laceys Creek Road for a picturesque drive through the Jacaranda trees. As we got closer the dryer it got and we were in for a bit of a dusty day, with all the usual flowing creeks very dry.
Once into Mt Mee, we made our way along the dusty windy tracks and stopped at the Gantry for lunch.
A lovely spot with plenty of shade and lots of birds....with one particular kookaburra helping himself to Lachies lunch..literally taking it out of his hands as he ate!
The afternoon saw some more tracks before exiting near Neurum Creek Bush Retreat to head home.
Some pics of the day can be found here...

Thanks and have a great Sunday
