Hi everyone,

after sorting out the issue of getting fuel to the carby, i now have another question (surprise surprise) :D

If any one has time are you able to take a snap shot of the way your throttle linkages are connected to your carby.

for some reason i can't work it out, when i connect them to the carby it pushes up rather then pull down??? i am sure it will be a newbie mistake :D

cheer for your help everyone

PS: it ran really well this morning considering it has been idle for 8 years, started on the third press of the button :D

Is the lever that connects to the rod that runs across the firewall arse about face. That's the lever at the back end of the connecting rod to the carby linkage.

Try this - sorry its a bit blurry, but you should be able to work it out.

ahhh yes it would help if you all knew what carby i have hooked up :D

we currently have a holden stromberg fitted, this carby was the carby that was on it when we last had her running (7-8 years ago) so have fitted it for now as we know it worked fine last time. After firing her up today i can say she still runs good on the stromberg.

We have just got to work out the linkages for the throttle on the carby end.

will now go back and read your helpful posts
cheers everyone
