Just a link for my Aulro friends on my recent CKP sensor failure on my Bosch 4.6. I thought that I was posting on Aulro originally, but I was on the mobile, and I got befuddled.
The lesson is, carry a CKP sensor, and if you get crank but no start, and no spark. Try it. sync mate needed gold coast! (http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/7-range-rover-mark-ii-p38/144218-sync-mate-needed-gold-coast.html#post1024226)
The interesting thing was, I thought it was fuel, as hardly any came out of the schraeder valve on the fuel rail AND I could not hear the pump running, even with my ear on top of the actual fuel tank. I spent all my time checking fuel relays, fuses etc.

Same thing happened to me last year when my ckp went. Thought it was fuel too, same again, just a piddly little sensor!

Go with Steve's - I got mine through Land Rover as time was of the essence. $118 from memory. They are cheaper online.

I have the one which was a spare for my MY99 Bosch model; ERR7354
I believe it fits all Thor engines and yes that's an excellent price !

It would appear that anything past 200000k`s is borrowed time so fitting a new CPS and keeping the old as an emergency is a prudent move on all models. Mine failed around 240000k`s so I did well

Thanks for the info gents, seems like good advice.
My 2000 HSE is hitting the 190k mark, so might get one of these to keep on hand next time I do some work on the car.
