Possibly a strange question, but I'm leaving the D4 for 5 weeks and have a steep drive.... So for that length of time is there any difference to whether I park it facing up hill or facing down...
I'm sure it doesn't make a difference but interested in your opinion anyway.

Cheers

Is it worth chocking the wheels to help reduce the load (whichever way you are facing)?

Sideways :)

I have a steep driveway also, I chock the front wheels, let it rest on the chock and then apply handbrake, then put it in park.

I might be odd but I always reverse in so I do not reverse out:D

Agree with chocking if it is very steep or sideways to avoid leaving unnecessary stress on brake or gear box.

Had to look twice at your post. I though for a second or two that it was a tricky hill climb

Sideways :)

Sideways is always better :D

But how do you execute a handbrake turn at the top of the drive with the stupid EPB?

Cheers,
Jon

Ever ripped it on at 100km/h?

It's quite impressive!

(Don't forget to turn off DSC)

That has to be a programming oversight to allow emergency braking without over-riding switched-off DSC, unless it does and you just like activating the hand-brake at speed on dirt roads.

Works fine with the dsc button left alone. I showed a friend with a 200 on the weekend.

And here i was thinking it would be a new version of the series owners lament.

Do park on the flat in case the park brake fails or the hill in case the starter does?
